ROOTS / A 30-DAY INVESTIGATION

You didn’t leave Adventism.
What if you never met it?

Before you abandon the faith of your parents, spend thirty days discovering the faith of their pioneers. Read the documents. Open the Bible. Compare the foundations. Let conscience answer to God.

Go Back Before You Walk Away

Ask for the old paths.

“Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls.”
Jeremiah 6:16 (KJV)

Maybe you grew up around Sabbath School, Pathfinders, prophecy seminars, or Ellen White books. Maybe answers felt rehearsed, questions went unanswered, or you quietly walked away. Before you throw everything away, meet the people and primary sources that formed the Advent awakening.

Start With Scripture

Who is your God?

Jesus pointed beyond Himself to the Father, then revealed Himself as the way to the Father. The investigation begins with the Bible’s own language.

“Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.” Mark 10:18 (KJV)

“I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” John 20:17 (KJV)

“And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.” John 17:3 (KJV)

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6 (KJV)

The Personal Question

Is Christ dwelling in you?

“Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.”
Romans 8:9 (KJV)

“And if Christ be in you...” The question is not merely what organization has a membership record. It is whether the Spirit of Christ dwells in the heart.

Something Changed

Put the documents side by side.

The 1872 Fundamental Principles and current denominational statements describe God differently. The task here is not to shout about that difference; it is to compare the original wording, Scripture, and historical sources with an open Bible.

The legal record is not an interpretation. It is a sequence of documents: committee action, incorporation, signers, and the 1905 Yearbook text. The relationship of those documents to Ellen White’s warnings is the historical case this site asks readers to examine.

October 1903

Committee records and warnings concerning a proposed new organization.

April 13, 1904

Committee minutes record a change of incorporators for D.C. residency.

April 15, 1904

Articles of incorporation are signed for the General Conference Corporation.

1905 Yearbook

The Yearbook reproduces the charter record and signer text.

Years of Accountability

You can choose life.

“The light that was shed upon the waiting ones penetrated everywhere, and those in the churches who had any light, who had not heard and rejected the three messages, obeyed the call and left the fallen churches. Many had come to years of accountability since these messages had been given, and the light shone upon them, and they were privileged to choose life or death. Some chose life and took their stand with those who were looking for their Lord and keeping all His commandments.”
Ellen G. White, Early Writings, pp. 277-278.

You were not there for every decision made before you were born. But the documents, the Bible, and the historic witness are now before you. Read with honesty. Pray for light. Choose life.

The 30-Day Challenge

Week Two

Discover 1844

Week Four

Compare the Foundations

Put the charts, 1872 principles, Present Truth, pioneer writings, and current statements side by side.

Start Here

Read. Compare. Pray. Prove all things. Then stand.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, show me the truth. Strip away everything I inherited merely because another human being believed it. Give me the Spirit of Thy Son. Lead me into all truth. Give me courage to follow wherever Thy Word leads. Amen.
