Accessibility Statement

Last reviewed September 30, 2026

This library exists so that anyone can read the Advent pioneers for themselves. That purpose fails if the site itself shuts people out. We are committed to making SundayLaw.com and its online school usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification, voice control, switch devices, or captions.

Our commitment

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard is also the benchmark used for Section 508 of the US Rehabilitation Act and is the reference point for the Americans with Disabilities Act as it is applied to websites.

We treat an accessibility barrier the same way we treat any other defect: as something to be fixed, not excused.

What is built into this site

Keyboard access

Every link, button, tab, form field, test question, and certificate action can be reached and used with the keyboard alone. Tab order follows reading order, and the focused element always shows a visible outline.

Screen readers

Pages use one main heading and a logical heading order, landmark regions, a “skip to main content” link, labelled form fields, descriptive link text, and live regions so status messages are announced rather than missed.

Contrast and text

Body text and controls meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio. Text resizes to 200% without loss of content, and layouts reflow to a single column rather than forcing sideways scrolling.

Motion

Nothing flashes, auto-plays with sound, or moves in a way that cannot be stopped. We honour the operating system’s reduce motion setting, and members can set that preference on their account as well.

Documents

Historic works are offered as PDF scans and, wherever we have readable text, as plain HTML reading pages that a screen reader can navigate properly. When a scan cannot be read by assistive technology, ask us and we will supply a text version.

Forms and errors

Each field has a visible label, not a placeholder standing in for one. Errors are described in words, tied to the field they concern, and never signalled by colour alone.

Accessibility options in your membership

Free membership lets your stated needs follow you between devices instead of living only in one browser. On the join form and in your member settings you can ask us to:

Known limitations, stated plainly

We would rather name these than imply the site is perfect.

How this was assessed

We self-assess, using a mix of automated and manual testing: keyboard-only walkthroughs, NVDA on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, contrast measurement, text zoom to 200%, reflow at 320 pixels wide, and automated audits with Lighthouse and axe. Automated tools catch only part of the picture, so manual review governs.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. You do not need to explain your disability or use technical language — describing what happened is enough.

Email: info@sundaylaw.com
Or use the contact page

It helps if you can include the page address, what you were trying to do, and the browser or assistive technology you were using.

What happens next. We aim to acknowledge your message within five business days. We will tell you what we found, when we expect to fix it, and — while the fix is pending — we will get you the material another way, whether that is a text transcription, a large-print copy, or a plain-email version.

Alternative formats on request

Any document in the library can be requested as accessible plain text, as large print, or as a plain-text email. There is no charge, and you do not need to be a member to ask.
