Help and graceare promisedby Him whose words aretruth. God willnot failto fulfillhispromiseto all who trust in him . Are any temptedto make theircircumstances an excuseforneglectingthe religionof Christ? Let them remember that Satan can frame onedifficultyafteranothertobartheway ofthose who willpermitthemselvestobe thushindered. Let them considerthe situationof the disciples inCæsar'shousehold,thefiercedepravityof the emperor,theprofligacyofthecourt. Itwas like rushingintothefireto acceptof Christunder such circumstances . If those Christian converts couldmaintaintheirfidelityamid allthedifficultiesand dangersof such surroundings, no one can offera sufficientreasonfor neglectingthe claimsof duty.
