From Miletusthe travelershad a prosperous voyage to Patara,on the southwest shoreof Asia Minor,where theylefttheirship,and took passage on another vessel bound for the coast of Phenicia. Again they enjoyedfavoringwinds, and,fullytwo weeks beforethe Pentecost,they landedat Tyre,where theshipwas tounloadits cargo . The apostle'sanxiety about reachingJerusalem was now at an end . There were a few disciplesat Tyre,and havingsucceededinsearchingthem out,he spentthenextweek withthem. The Holy Spirithad revealedtothesebrethren somethingof the dangerswhich awaited Paul at Jerusalem, and theyendeavoredto dissuade him from hispurpose. But the same Spirit which had warned him of afflictions,bonds,and imprisonment,stillurgedhim forward,a willing captive. When the week was over, Paul left them. So stronga hold upon theiraffections had he gainedin thisbriefperiod,that allthe brethren,with theirwives and children,started withhim toconducthim on hisway ; and before he steppedon board the ship,theykneltsideby sideupon theshoreand prayed,he forthem,and they forhim . Pursuingtheirjourneysouthward,thetravelers arrivedat Cæsarea ,and " entered intothe house of Philipthe evangelist, which was one of the seven,and abode with him ." Here Paul tarried untiltheveryeveof thefeast. Thesefew peaceful,happy days were thelastdaysof perfect
