Silasand Timothyhad joinedPaul,andtogether thev now labored for the Gentiles. Paul did not bind himself nor his converts to the ceremoniesand customsof the Jews, with their variedforms, types, and sacrifices; forhe recognizedthattheperfectand finalofferinghad been made inthedeathoftheSon ofGod . The age of clearerlightand knowledgehad now come. And althoughtheearlyeducationof Paul had blinded hiseyestothislight, and ledhim tobitterlyopposethework ofGod , yettherevelationof Christ tohim whileon hisway toDamascus had changed the whole current of his life. His character and works had now become a remarkable illustrationof thoseof hisdivineLord.
