Fitch's cry to come out of Babylon was never only about leaving. By faith, it is the way into the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary — where a people are gathered as living jewels, set into the foundations of the New Jerusalem, the bride making herself ready. That city comes down out of heaven at the appointed hour, the way the stone cut without hands struck the great image on its feet in Daniel's vision, and every kingdom built on human authority gives way to the kingdom that shall stand forever.
