ALL who have readthelifeofChristaspresentedin volumes two and three of " The Great Controversy," willwelcome anotherbook by the same writertreating in a similarmanner upon the lifeand laborsof the apostlePaul. Among the many valuableworksupon thelifeofPaul,thisbookoccupiesa fieldpeculiarlyits own . The historicalnarrative istraced down in a clear and connected manner , from the time of Paul's first dealingswith thechurch asa persecutor,untilhe was " offeredup " as a willingsacrificefor the causewhich he had learned to love more than his own life. Besides this,fromhislaborsand sufferings, and from the instructionwhich he gave to the churches under his care,practical moral lessons are drawn for the church ofto-day . This isthe distinctivefeatureof the book, and isthat which makes itparticularlyvaluable. The writerofthisbook,having receivedespecialhelp from the Spiritof God ,isable to throw lightupon the teachingsofPaul and theirapplicationto our own time, as no otherauthorsarepreparedto do.
