George W. Holt (1812–1889): The Unwavering Pioneer Evangelist
George W. Holt stands as one of the most zealous, self-sacrificing, and faithful pioneer evangelists of the early Seventh-day Adventist movement. Born in Connecticut on August 5, 1812, Holt accepted the 1844 Millerite Advent message and subsequently embraced the Seventh-day Sabbath under the ministry of Captain Joseph Bates.

Laboring with James & Ellen White
In the late 1840s and early 1850s, George W. Holt traveled extensively alongside Elder James White, Ellen G. White, Hiram Edson, and Samuel W. Rhodes.
Holt was a prominent writer for The Present Truth, contributing articles that confirmed scattered Adventists in the sanctuary truth, the 2,300 days of Daniel 8:14, and the Fourth Commandment Sabbath as the seal of the living God.
Later in his ministry, Brother Holt moved to Ohio, where he labored faithfully until his death in 1889, leaving behind a legacy of absolute fidelity to the original platform of truth.
